    The rules

    How the day works.

    1. Hold a Credit. A Credit holder is a wallet that holds at least one Credit. Contracts that hold Credits for other people (CreditStrategy, Wrapped Credits) and burn addresses can't collect. A Credit that printed all four plates kept nothing, so it has no Debit.
    2. 1,000 champions start the drop. A champion is a wallet that holds a Credit right now, proves it by signing a short message with that wallet (no transaction, no gas, no approval), and connects an X account through Sign in with X, which is read-only: we never post for you. Each wallet can be one champion, each X account can back one champion, and champions are numbered in the order they finish signing up. Wubbushi's own wallets can't be champions. When the 1,000th champion signs up, the drop starts by itself, and every champion counted then gets a free Debit first.
    3. Each champion gets a free Debit. Its Credit is picked at random from the champion's Credits at sign-up, and that pair is on the champion's share card. The count is live: a champion whose wallet no longer holds a Credit stops counting and gets no free Debit. A sign-up through a champion's link credits that champion on the wall; nothing else depends on it.
    4. The champions' Debits go first. When the drop starts, the champions' free Debits go out first, to their wallets in champion-number order, champion #1 first. We pay the gas to send them, right after the start: all 1,000 take about 25 minutes, and if gas spikes they wait for it to settle. Paid minting opens once they are sent, or 30 minutes after the start, whichever is sooner.
    5. Minting is for the Credits you held at the snapshot. A wallet mints only the Debits of Credits it held at 10:14 pm CT on 28 September, when this drop's snapshot was taken, and still holds. A Credit bought after the snapshot carries no mint in this drop. A few wallets that sold most of the Credits they got at launch can't mint, and a few are limited to 10.
    6. Mint those Debits all day. Until the close, 24 hours after the start, at the close, a wallet can mint the Debits of its snapshot Credits, as many as it likes, at about $7 in ETH each.
    7. No random Debits. A Debit can be minted only by the wallet that holds its Credit, so every Debit minted in the drop starts out Rich. A wallet that holds no Credit now can't mint.
    8. 100 to a mint. One mint carries at most 100 Debits so it fits in a block; mint again for more.
    9. Reservations and gifts. Wubbushi holders who reserved before the drop receive that many Debits, up to 100 a wallet, drawn at random after the close. Each wallet that holds a Wubbushi piece receives one gift Debit, drawn the same way, and Wubbushi holds back an artist's reserve, drawn the same way. Drawn Debits arrive Owed, or Settled if their Credit has been burned. The list is fixed at the start (its sha256 is published at the start), and the draw uses the hash of the first block at or after the close.
    10. The seal, then the receipts. After the close, once the drawn Debits are delivered, the edition is sealed, and no Debit can ever be minted again. Every Debit's 21-character receipt then prints at once from the hash of the block after the seal. That hash doesn't exist when the seal is sent, so nobody, us included, can know or choose a receipt. Anyone can press print once that block exists.
    11. The sevens bar. Each 7 in a Debit's receipt prints one square of its sevens bar, up to four. Five or more turn its ground black.
    12. Owed, Rich, Settled. Apart from its Credit, a Debit is Owed: it prints the plates the Credit kept. While one wallet holds both, they're Rich: all four plates print. Once its Credit is burned, the Debit is Settled, for good, under the color that Credit printed.
    13. The day decides the edition. Every Credit that kept a plate has one Debit. The day decides how many are minted, and whatever isn't minted stays kept.
